What it does
Text-only forum threads can feel flat, and members who want to react with a GIF usually have to find one elsewhere, copy a link and hope it displays. This addon removes that detour. It uses the GIPHY API to give your community access to hundreds of thousands of animated GIFs, searchable right from the place where they write. People can add humor, show a reaction or make a point visually, and the GIF lands in their message ready to post.
The plugin works inside the wpForo editor by adding a [GIF] button at the bottom right of the topic, post and private message editors. Clicking it opens a popup window with live search, where members type a term, preview the results and pick the one they want to insert. Settings are handled from the wpForo dashboard. It is built as an extension for wpForo, so it fits forums already running on that plugin and keeps GIF sharing consistent across every place members write.
Best for
- Community forums built on wpForo
- Casual discussion boards where members like sharing reactions
- Fan, gaming or hobby communities with active threads
