- FixedSearching events by name not working
- ImprovedUI design and layout
What it does
Checking guests in from a printed list or a spreadsheet gets slow once a line forms at the door, and mistakes creep in. This addon moves the process into EventON, where your events already live. Staff can scan a QR code or barcode on a ticket, or mark someone as arrived manually when they walk in without one. Group check-ins are supported too, which helps when several people arrive together during a busy stretch.
Because check-ins are recorded as they happen, organizers can see attendance in real time and follow how guests are moving through the entry. The interface works on smartphones, tablets and desktop computers, so a door team can use whatever devices they have. Afterward, detailed logs and exportable reports give you a record of who came. User role controls let you decide which team members can handle check-ins, and the check-in screen can be styled to match your event branding.
Best for
- EventON sites selling or issuing tickets to events
- Conference and workshop organizers managing door entry
- Event teams with several staff checking in guests

Questions about EventON - Check-ins
Does this work on its own, or do I need EventON?
It is an addon for the EventON calendar plugin. It works with your EventON calendars and event listings, so you need EventON in place for the check-in features to have events and attendees to work with.
Can I check in guests who do not have a ticket to scan?
Yes. Along with QR code and barcode scanning, there is a manual check-in option. Staff can mark a guest as arrived without scanning, which is handy for walk-ins and VIP guests.
What devices can my staff use at the door?
Check-ins can be done from smartphones, tablets or desktop computers. That lets you set up an entry point with whatever hardware suits your venue, and you can limit which team members have check-in access through user roles.
Can I see attendance data after the event?
Yes. Besides live tracking during the event, the addon produces detailed logs and exportable attendance reports, so you can review who attended and keep a record for later.
Is EventON - Check-ins free?
The code of EventON - Check-ins is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
