What it does
Standard repeating events in EventON copy the same data to every occurrence. That works until one session has a different speaker, a new room or a special topic. The usual workaround is creating separate events by hand, which clutters your calendar and breaks the recurring series. This add-on keeps the series intact while letting you adjust the fields that differ from one repeat to the next, such as the title, subtitle, image, status, location and organizer.
You work from the event edit page in your WordPress dashboard. After enabling repeats, you pick an individual occurrence and fill in the fields you want to change. Custom meta fields get a rich text editor, so you can add formatted text, images and links to a single instance. You can also reset a repeat's custom data or clear out the main event data from the repeat form. It also works alongside the Event Slider and Filters Plus add-ons.
Best for
- Organizers running recurring classes, workshops or seminars
- EventON calendar sites with seasonal or weekly event series
- Agencies managing event calendars for multiple clients
Features
Per-repeat titles and images
Give any single occurrence in a recurring series its own title, subtitle and image, so visitors can tell sessions apart at a glance.
Location and organizer changes
Set a different location or organizer for an individual repeat when a session moves venues or has a different host.
Event status per instance
Change the status of one occurrence without touching the rest of the series, which helps when a single date needs to be marked differently.
Rich text for custom meta fields
Use a rich text editor on custom meta fields to add formatted descriptions, images and links to a specific repeat instance.
Editing on the event page
Enable repeats and customize each instance directly from the event edit page, using straightforward controls inside your WordPress dashboard.
Reset and clear options
Reset a repeat's custom data when you no longer need it, or clear out the main event data from the repeat form to start fresh.
Works with other add-ons
Pairs with the Event Slider and Filters Plus add-ons for EventON, so customized repeats can appear in sliders and filtered views.

Questions about EventON Repeat Customizer
Do I need EventON to use this add-on?
Yes. This is an add-on for the EventON calendar plugin. It extends EventON's repeating event feature, so EventON needs to be running on your WordPress site for the customization options to appear on the event edit page.
Which details can I change for a single repeat?
You can customize the title, subtitle, image, event status, location and organizer for an individual occurrence. Custom meta fields are supported too, and they come with a rich text editor so you can add formatted text, images and links.
Will customizing one occurrence affect the rest of the series?
No. Changes apply to the specific repeat instance you edit, and the rest of the recurring series keeps the main event data. If you change your mind, you can reset that repeat's custom data.
Can customized repeats show up in sliders or filtered event lists?
The add-on works alongside the Event Slider and Filters Plus add-ons for EventON. Used together, they let you present your recurring events in sliders and give visitors filtering options across your calendar.
Is EventON Repeat Customizer free?
The code of EventON Repeat Customizer is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of EventON Repeat Customizer is this?
Version 2.0.4, released Jul 17, 2025.
