What it does
A standard event calendar works well for browsing dates, but it can be easy to scroll past on a busy page. This add-on gives you another way to present the same events: as moving slides that put one or several events front and center. It suits sites running concerts, conferences, community workshops, festivals and similar programs where you want upcoming events to stand out on a homepage or landing page.
The add-on works with your existing EventON events, so there is no separate list to maintain. You pick a layout (multiple slides, carousel or a single slide) or use the mini slider for smaller spaces such as sidebars. From there you set navigation direction, turn navigation dots on or off, choose dark controls, decide whether the slider starts on page load and pauses on hover, and choose between showing upcoming or past events.

Multiple slider layouts
Present events as multiple slides, a carousel or a single slide, depending on how much space you have and how many events you want visible at once.

Do I need EventON for this to work?
Yes. This is an add-on for the EventON calendar plugin. It displays the events you create in EventON, so you need EventON on your site to use the slider layouts and controls.
Can I fit the slider into a sidebar or small area?
The mini slider option is designed for smaller spaces. It shows the essential event information in a compact format, and visitors can click a slide to expand it and see the full details.
Can the slider show past events as well as upcoming ones?
Yes. You can choose to display either upcoming events or past events, which lets you promote what is next or keep a visual record of events that have already happened.
Will visitors have time to read each slide?
