What it does
Many help desks receive tickets from several people at the same client company or from different departments inside one organization. Without groups, each requester stands alone, and nobody on the customer side can see what their colleagues have already reported. This add-on for SupportCandy fixes that by letting you organize users into groups or companies. Each group can have supervisors who oversee all tickets filed by its members, which keeps requests attributed to the right organization and makes coordination easier.
The add-on requires SupportCandy and works inside it. Group members can create private tickets or assign tickets to a specific user group, and agents can change the group on a ticket when they have permission to do so. You can add custom fields to each group to store details such as phone numbers, addresses and websites. User groups also appear in the ticket list, where you can filter tickets by group for day-to-day handling and reporting.
Best for
- Businesses supporting client companies with many employees
- Internal help desks serving multiple departments
- SupportCandy users who need supervisor oversight of tickets
Features
Set up user groups or companies and place users in them, so tickets can be allocated and tracked by the organization they come from.
Assign supervisors to a user group. They can view and manage all tickets filed by members of that group, which helps with accountability.
Give group members the option to create private tickets that stay separate from the rest of the group when a request should not be shared.
Members can direct a ticket to a specific user group, which is useful for internal support where requests belong to a particular team.
With the right permission, support agents can update the user group linked to a ticket when it was filed under the wrong one.
Add custom fields to user groups to store company details such as phone numbers, addresses and websites alongside your support records.
User groups show in the ticket list, and you can filter the list by group to find and report on tickets for one organization.

Questions about Support Candy Usergroup
Does this work on its own or do I need SupportCandy?
It is an add-on for SupportCandy and requires that plugin. It adds user group functionality to your existing SupportCandy ticketing system rather than acting as a separate help desk.
Can a manager at a client company see all of their team's tickets?
Yes. You can assign supervisors to a user group, and a supervisor can oversee and manage all tickets filed by members of that group. Members who need privacy can still create private tickets if you allow it.
Can I store company details for each group?
You can add custom fields to user groups. The plugin's description gives phone numbers, addresses and websites as examples of group-specific information you can keep alongside your tickets.
What if a ticket is filed under the wrong group?
Agents who have permission can modify the user group associated with a ticket. You can also display groups in the ticket list and filter by group to spot and sort tickets quickly.
