What it does

Support teams often juggle several tools at once: a help desk, a customer database, a chat app, an internal dashboard. Keeping them in step usually means copying updates by hand or checking the ticket screen over and over. This add-on removes much of that manual work. When something happens in a ticket, such as a new ticket arriving, a status change or an agent being assigned, it sends an outgoing request with the event data to an address you set, so connected tools receive the update automatically.

You decide which events fire a webhook, so each connected app only receives what it needs. Coverage goes beyond basic ticket creation to include replies, private notes, category and priority changes, and tickets that fall out of their service level agreement. That makes it useful for syncing customer records, updating internal dashboards or alerting team members in third-party apps. Setup is handled by entering an address and picking triggers, and it works for a single help desk or several support portals. It requires the SupportCandy plugin.

  • Help desks already running SupportCandy

Questions about SupportCandy Webhooks

Which ticket events can send a webhook?

Webhooks can fire on ticket creation, status changes, agent assignments, replies, private notes, and category and priority changes. You can also get notified when a ticket risks or breaches its service level agreement. You choose which of these events trigger requests.

Do I need the SupportCandy plugin to use this?

Yes. This is an add-on for the SupportCandy help desk plugin, so SupportCandy must be active on your site. The add-on watches ticket activity there and sends the event data out to the addresses you configure.

What kinds of apps can receive the data?

Any tool that can accept incoming webhook requests. Common uses include customer relationship tools, chat apps for team alerts, monitoring tools and internal dashboards that track support activity.

Is it hard to set up for someone who is not a developer?

Setup is designed to be straightforward. You enter the web address that should receive the data and select which events should trigger it. The receiving app needs to accept webhooks, but the help desk side needs no coding.

Is SupportCandy Webhooks free?

The code of SupportCandy Webhooks is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.

Which version of SupportCandy Webhooks is this?

Version 3.0.8, released Jun 4, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.

How do I update SupportCandy Webhooks?

Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of SupportCandy Webhooks automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.

What does SupportCandy Webhooks need?

SupportCandy Webhooks needs SupportCandy installed and active.
